The Boar’s Head Tavern, Eastcheap
While in England Washington Irving found that so much had been written about Shakespeare that there wasn’t much left for him to add. Inspired by Henry IV Part 1, he decided to go to Eastcheap and look up the Boar’s Head Tavern which was Falstaff’s and Prince Hal’s old haunt.
