Calamity Jane by Martha Cannary Burke

There were many western heroes, real and imagined. Martha Cannary Burk was the woman known as Calamity Jane. She was so deadly with a gun that the highway bandits let her go by when she was an express rider. She leaped from her horse onto a runaway stage when the driver had been shot. She was the real thing. She wrote this short account of her amazing adventures.
