Renascence by Edna St. Vincent Millay

Edna St. Vincent Millay (1892 – 1950) wrote this poem in 1912 when she was 20. Although she wrote many other poems that were published, this is the one poem most often associated with her. It became known to television viewers in the 1950s when TV host Dave Garroway used a portion of the last stanza for his signature on the program “Wide Wide World” (1955 – 1958)
